After my last blog post I had a couple of concerned comments about our bad day. I did not directly tell James he was going to hell. I had to give him a spanking and I always talk to him about sin and our need for Jesus to save us and I just wasn't thinking and said something about disobeying being sin and sin keeping us from God and the ultimate seperation from God is hell. He put it all together and said to me "I am going to hell because I disobeyed??!!" I told him no and he fell asleep in my arms to me singing Jesus loves you. It was way more traumatic for me than him and there has been no mention of it by him since then. As for the pushing him incident. He head butted me in the pelvic bone and I roughly put my hand on his head and pushed him out of the way, he ran into a soft play toy and fell down. Yes, I crossed the line but it also was more traumatic for me than him. Okay, now that that is cleared up on to happy stories! This is Kinley's fussy laugh - she does it all the time - she can't decide whether to laugh or cry. She signed "more" for the first time Saturday. We were at Red Rock for dinner and she loved my mashed potatoes. She also claps and dances to music now.
James said two funny things we can remember. He wanted a snack and I told him he could get yogurt, he came to me with yogurt in one hand and salami in the other he said "I could have salami it's better for my body because it has protein or I could have yogurt but it's sugary for our body" then gave me the look of "we wouldn't want that would we??" Then we were driving somewhere and it came up that he made me throw up a lot when I was pregnant with him. He said "I made you throw up a lot when I was in your tummy because my egg was soooo big" he stretched out his arms as if hugging the biggest dinosaur egg.
These are two of James' school friends. His program was last week and he did pretty good until the song where they were supposed to swing their arms. He and two other boys got really silly swinging their arms into each other. They also thought it was cool to yell incomprehensible words into the microphone. James didn't have the guts to participate in that one but he sure encouraged the others.
James called Josh today to tell him that he bought a new lizard at Reasor's. He left a two minute message full of nonsense but he did get a couple of really cute things out. My favorite was "thank you for loving God so that you can love me so that I can love you!" He also randomly kept blowing a kiss into the phone. The main jist of the message was thanking daddy for all his hard work for our family. It was precious and I gave him no help to come up with any of it.

We had a great Mother's Day weekend. Kinley was dedicated at church so Gigi, Bop and Grandma Dorothy came up. Kinley actually kept a bow in her hair all of Sunday morning. While the pastor was praying for us she tried to pull him by they collar kiss him.
Saturday we got to run by one of my second cousins basketball game. There were other cousins there and James went to play on a hill with them. Next time we looked up he was running through a mud puddle and they were all watching him. He loved it but when we got to the car we had to take all of his clothes off and when he was completely naked he decided he needed to pee and said "I don't want to pee in the car so I guess I better pee here" and just peed in the middle of the parking lot in broad daylight buck naked. One of my proudest moments for sure.
Saturday we went to Rooster Days in Broken Arrow. They had a great petting zoo that the kids loved. Anytime James came by with food all the goats poked their heads out to beg. Kinley liked it when they licked her hands.
Below is one of the many ways James has incorporated his little sister into his life. He decided that his seat can be on top since he is so huge now. Let me tell you it is not for the faint of heart to push 60 pounds of morris around the backyard in a cozy coupe!
We ate dinner at Los Cabos Saturday night and Kinley was sitting in the highchair. She started making the infamous poop face and pushed for a few seconds then relaxed and raised her right hand straight in the air with the guiltiest look on her face. Then she made the poop face again for a second and when she relaxed she raised her left hand straight in the air as if to claim that one too. It was hilarious and I would have given anything to have it on video - I think we could win money with that trick. This morning we had our first concussion scare. Kinley fell of the chair, hit a table leg, then the wood floor. She only cried one scream then laid her head on my shoulder and wouldn't sit up. When I looked at her she couldn't focus on me or anything else. It was scary but we called the Dr. and they had us wait thirty minutes and by then she was more normal. They said she probably just got sleepy from the adrenaline of falling. Oh brother, I just knew she was going to be the one to give us all the booboos - the girl of all things.

I know this is a bad picture but look at those teeth, she looks like a jack o lantern, she has the middle two on the bottom.
She was cleaning off the last piece of her first peanut butter sandwich, she LOVED it. I put it on her tray, went to get the camera and came back and it was gone.
Daddy loves to make their hair crazy after bath, I guess she likes it too.
We've had a tough week with James and this weekend I was at the end of my rope and made a few mistakes. In one day I manged to push him down and tell him he was going to hell. I think we've made a full emotional recovery by the grace of God. We are having to try some new parenting techniques but I think we are getting somewhere. Hopefully he'll give me a good story in the next few days! We are officially done with everything foster care. Now we just wait for them to let us know if we are approved then we will start receiving calls to take children. They have no idea how long the approval will take.
