Summer Fun

Last week we went to a new park in Tulsa that Quick Trip funded. It is a great park with five water features that are perfect for little ones and a great multi age playground.
Kinley just crawls up and down this four tiered one over and over. It's really funny when the water surprises her.
Isn't Josh a great photographer - we have some many amazing pics but it would take forever to put all of them on here - he needs his own blog!
James loved the baby potty chair (don't know why it got named that) but it spins really fast.
Fish Face
Wednesday we went to the Tulsa Air and Space Museum with our friends the Butter's. It was great fun - Kinley went to the moon!
This was her first fruit smoothie (with yogurt) she loved it but soon broke out all over and got a runny nose. I need to start dealing with the reality that she probably isn't going to outgrow her milk allergy :( That night at the amusement park (you'll read about it in a minute) we were all having ice cream and she wanted a bite so bad, she just stared at my in the eyes as if her heart was breaking and I was the meanest mom in the world to deny her ice cream. So dramatic - but I stayed strong and gave her cotton candy instead!
We went to a little amusement park in Bartlesville called Kiddie Park and the kids loved it. Every ride is a quarter and even Kinley could go!
Next we went to the Watermelon Festival in Rush Springs. Steve's family gets together every year for it so we got to see his brothers and sisters and have a great day of fried food and good conversation. This is the monster truck James loved. When we were on the way home he said "I just can't wait until I grow up so I can get my monster truck and drive it in the grass" he said it would be brown like mud and he would drive on the side of the road in the grass and the cars on the road wouldn't see him because he would look like mud.
The slide was a little faster than he expected but he handled it well.
Kinley loved the jeep but it took a long time to get started and it was past nap time so by the third lap she was leaning out the door in a daze. Everyone was laughing and a little worried she would fall out but she made it and was up and smiling by the last lap.
Her favorite carnival food was corn on the cob.
...and corndog breading
James loved the hot dog...
but the watermelon more, he ate so much his tummy hurt
So after all the fun we all need to catch up on a little sleep Still now concrete news on foster care - we'll let you know!????

We still do not have a foster child but have been on the DHS roller coaster for two weeks. We are getting better at it but it is definitely difficult to adjust to the craziness. Every other day we get a call changing the game. We will let everyone know when we actually bring a child home!
Kinley just figured out that the step stool she loves so much opens! She climbs in and out constantly.
Uncle Jeff (actually a cousin in law on my mom's side) is a TFD captain. We took some friends and got a tour.
James' favorite part was the locker in the chiefs quarters.
Kinley's favorite part was jumping on the bed
We had James' fourth birthday party today! We had a shark theme. Josh made the cake single handedly - isn't it amazing! It had red velvet cake inside - the boys loved it!
This captured exactly what's been going on between these two lately - except with smiles on their faces. James is always telling Kinley no and scooting toys out of her reach. We had little fish the kids could catch and take home so James was protecting his batch.
All of his little friends!
Kinley just loves birthday parties! Not sure she's ever going to get a date with manners like that!

This is our messy little eater, she loves to rub her hands all over her face and through her hair when she is finished eating. It's lovely!
Saturday we had a joint family birthday party for James and Kinley. Obviously Kinley LOVED the cake.
Aunt Jen and Grandad couldn't even figure out how to make the toys go!
The only present Kinley even attempted to unwrap - she was uninterested in everything but the cake.
She is beginning to love baby dolls. She rocks then, kisses them, tries to dress them it's so sweet.
Looking for Sophie (the dog)
James showing you his big basketball goal
James explaining to you how great the big basketball goal is
This is a video of Kinley eating the cake In foster care news, if you don't already know, we are supposed to bring Amari home Monday the 27th! He is 2 1/2 and African American. We can't wait to meet him! Keep us all in your prayers.

I think you old folks (no offense) who just look at the emails don't realize when I post videos and I always forget to say specifically that it is a video. So the last post had two adorable videos of Kinley. You have to go to the actual blog site to see them. www.jklmorris.blogspot.com

He said "look at me, I'm you"
Today, James woke up at 5am throwing up and didn't quit until around noon. Kinley woke up covered in poop with a few pieces thrown on the floor. Needless to say it was a stay at home day so I got the chance to catch Kinley being cute. The one on the right is her new favorite noise she and James always do it to each other and laugh.

No new pics this time but a couple of stories. James has been saying "chub it up" when he talks about liking to eat something. He says "I am gonna chub up shrimp at my birthday party" "Kinley just chubs it up" So weird, we have no idea where he got it but he is stuck on it. Kinley does the motions to itsy bitsy spider - it is to die for - I will try to get a video of it soon but we all know how that goes. Sunday James woke up from his nap crying hysterically. Josh went to him and asked what was wrong. He was sad becasue he didn't want us all to grow up and go to heaven because there were a lot of animals that he still wanted to be. (he likes to pretend he is a cat, dog, lion, bear, etc) Crazy that this is our almost 4yr olds biggest problem but it is better than a year ago when he wanted to walk in front of a car so that he could go to heaven and be with God. Providing the Lord makes it happen we will begin taking calls for foster children Monday the 27th...of July...yeah!?!? Which means we will probably get a kid that week. We will keep you posted but keep the prayers going! Sorry this is all one big paragraph, it doesn't obey when I hit enter - any bloggers have tips? I will welcome them.

We made goop with liquid starch and glue and called it monster snot - super fun - for a boy!
"Uh Uh I ate all the pudding" Kinley had dairy free pudding and loved it I have been forgetting to mention that she now says Uh Uh when she drops things. We went to the doctor for her one year check up. She was 21lbs 15oz and I can't remember how long she was. She was 50% height and weight and 90% head. She dances on command and sometimes swings her hips on command. She is such a cutie! This is James weighting down her new push toy so she doesn't take a nose dive.
We went to Duncan for the 4th of July. This is James and Pyro Uncle Jason lighting worms on fire. James was all about the fireworks but is definately old hammerdog jr. (For those of you who don't know Josh was nick named old hammerdog in college because he is so cautious) I did burn James with a sparkler spark. He threw a nice fit and has shown everyone his microscopic scar on his pinky toe and says "this is where my mommy burned me" He also got ash from the worms all over him and kept saying look I have rash all over me.
Sunday we took family pictures. Joe and Caren got us all coordinating clothes, didn't we look good!
This is our new cousin Kate - both of the kids love her. James baby talks to her and wants to hold her. Kinley says babababa and pats her.
Jennifer, Kinley, Me, James, Jason, Kate, Emily, Josh Will you believe that we got like five good pictures of the whole group and not one good one of the four of us!!!
See what I mean, see who the boss is!
We got all dressed up for the pictures and a couple of Joe and Caren's friends came by to see the kids. They asked "James are you better lookin than your dad?" He said "uhh, no, he has gel in his hair too!"
This a boring video of Kinley playing with her favorite part of the pool.
Had a meeting with our case worker today and we are officially finished with the process and ready to begin taking children. We have decided we need a couple of more weeks so we hope to start on the 27th - we'll see!?!?
